Artist Statement
Life requires multiple interlocking reactions, known as metabolism. The processing of various types of energy allows for organisms to do work. Metabolism is all about conversion.
This piece is a collaboration with Tia Bennett's Motion Lines. In order to view her work, you must contribute energy to the system. Similar to within living things, energy must be inputted, and then altered to a usable form. On top of this, the piece breaks down the conversions the artist took to create it. By clicking the side arrows, you can view the process of physical movements, converted to digital playback, and finally the finished art piece.
